I'll admit that I have been having a rough few days. Things happen and people end up making you feel worse for the pettiest reasons.
But then you get to do something you love and it all goes away. For me, that's acting, and it's why I'm happy it's a job. I can cure my blues by going to work or training to get more work. Dog has a medical emergency? Go to an Improv class. Run late, miss your morning coffee, have some random person on the metro mistake you for a babysitter, and you lash out at someone who happened to have a phone pointed at you when you twisted your ankle and fell all before 10 am? Do a monologue on camera in front of people. When I act, everything negative in my life melts away. By the time I finish doing a piece one time, I don't even remember that I was sad. That's how it should be for people. There should always be something that always makes you feel better, something that you can go to whenever you need it. That's why I'm glad I'm an actor.
Until next time I post,
