Hi, I'm Caitlin Jackson! I'm a film/television/video actress from the Washington, D.C. area who is ready to work. While I am currently based in D.C., I am looking forward to expanding to other markets. I love being on set and working with other professionals. I learn a lot and meet many interesting people. To me, being even a small part of really good shows or movies feels just as good as being a lead. Although I would still like to be a lead. Or at least just be able to speak.
I got my start acting (fairly) late in life. I loved acting as a child, but fell out of it because I was pressured into pursuing a "real" job. I went through high school and a few years of college wanting to be a masseuse, a hotel manager, and a math teacher. I finally decided to become an actor when I realized I wanted to be all of those things because of TV and movie characters (guess who). I transferred to George Mason University to be a Theater major. I got to work on a lot of great plays, including some written by students, and a few student films. I also got to meet some of my best friends and lifelong mentors there. I joined Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theater Honors Society. Some of my professors included four-time Helen Hayes Award winner Edward Gero, Obie Award winner Kaiulani Lee, and Golden Globe winner Stacy Keach. After I graduated, I pursued many theatrical and film opportunities, but I was offered more film auditions and roles than theater. I then decided to exclusively pursue a career in on-camera acting. I haven't finished my education yet, and probably never will. I go to workshops at The Actors' Center in Washington, D.C. as often as I can. I also take Improv classes there with Mario Baldessari.
I also do things besides act. I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes, my Dad, my Mom, and my dog, Zelda. Zelda is a mixed-breed rescue puppy and I am having a lot of fun and interesting experiences with her. I love taking her to dog-friendly places and getting to know other dog owners because of her. I also like to watch TV and movies. What actor doesn't? I try to go to New York at least once a year to see plays and eat food. I love that there is a huge variety of vegan food in NYC, mainly because I'm vegan. One of my favorite things is discovering new vegan food. I also play a lot of video games. I casually play many different series, like Mario, but my favorite video game series is The Legend of Zelda (hence, the name of my dog). I have played all but one game in the series and of those games, I have beaten all but one (it's the most obvious guess). I also like baking. I bake cakes, cupcakes, pies, and cookies. I also do cross-stitch sometimes and I like to swim.
